So... this is what I did this weekend. Well, besides change my name and buy a domain name in case you are wondering who the heck Sequins and Scribbles is. I have yet to change my header, but I'm working with another lovely bloggy mom to update my blog soon. :)
But anyways. I got bit by the doll making bug again. I just had to make another girl. I had the yarn for the hair and the outfit already here for months now, but with the move I haven't had a lot of time to spend the hours on making another one. I made her in two and a half days, which is actually pretty quick considering I'm working with a toddler running around. I also made up my own pattern this time around with less hand sewing since I hate it and I'm not the best at it. I'm very happy with how it turned out. She's the most perfect one I've made so far, I'm very pleased.
A friend's little girl suggested the name Pearl, which I thought fit her quite well. She's one of the first I'm selling in my Etsy shop and it will make my month if she sells. But if not, I love her so much and would love for her to stay here as well.
When I was making her, Annamarie was just kissing her and loving on her (even when she was bald with no hair). So I told Annamarie if she sells I will actually make Annamarie one with hair that she can play with. I already have the yarn for the hair picked out in my Etsy favorites. But if nothing else I'm going to make another one pretty soon here I think. I go in spurts of making them, and I want to make another!
Well, without further ado, meet Pearl!

Her hair is a mix of two handspun wool yarns. The cream has sparkles and curly wool locks spun in. I love it!

When I saw this overalls set on Etsy I just had to buy it for the doll, I knew it would go with the hair well

Pearl looks like quite the adventurer type. I started working on my Waldorf doll over Christmas, and then I just found myself with a lot less time on my hands. Maybe your post will inspire me to keep going. Hoping it gets easier over time. I still feel like such a newbie.
