So, what's new?

Photobucket

Earlier this week I said we had some big changes coming. And we do.

After a whole bunch of crap we went through a few months back with family stabbing us in the back over a potential job, turns out we didn't need their "help" or them to "save us" from anything. Because, well, God really does pull through for people who believe in Him, and He has better plans than we ever could think. On top of that, God can make something out of sin, that I know for sure now. (I've had people say that God has plans for our life and he planned everything, which I somewhat disagree with. God didn't plan on Adam and Eve sinning, but he made something out of it. Everyone has free will to screw up people's lives, but despite that, God can make something happen out of that.)

So, well, Steve starts a new job in March. Something so good that I'm quitting my chinchilla business. I'm rather excited about this. I'm sick of rude people and I'm sick of working because I have to due to the amount of orders I have, not because I love what I do anymore.

So, I'm going to do my dolls. I'm going to do them for fun and do them when I have time. I'm going to sell out of what I have in stock for my chinchilla business and then I'm going to mostly stop unless I really feel like making something for chinchillas.

I'm really excited about this. I've started stocking up on various materials to make more dolls, and buying new patterns to try out. It should be fun.

If you want to keep up with my doll adventures, here is my new Etsy shop dedicated to them (rather sparse at the moment since I'm still working on the dolls for my wholesale order) and my facebook page.

Oh I'm so glad everything is working out for you and Steve. What will his new job entail? I hope it is one he really enjoys. And good for you to move on to something new as well. I can't wait to see what you do with that rainbow yarn. If it turns into a doll, then well, consider it sold. =)

Allison, So glad to hear that Steve got a good job and that now you can sew for pleasure. What a blessing!

Allison, I haven't commented in a long time, but I follow you in my reader :)

Your dolls are SO beautiful, I wish I knew some little girls who would love them as much as I would if I were young. In fact, I am so tempted to buy one for me...but that might look strange to my husband, haha!

You are absolutely right re the job stuff and God. I lost my job after Thanksgiving, and at first it was terrible and I was shocked and sad and thinking WHY???? I knew I'd been unhappy almost the entire time I had been there (over six years!!) and suddenly I knew that He had been trying to tell me to get out, to find something else, just leave a bad situation. I didn't listen, and like our parents on Earth, I believe He had enough and just gave my butt a swift kick. I'm adjusting to being a homemaker while I look for something else, hoping for something part time (or even better AT HOME) since I believe my time and attention needs to be focused on the home front for now.

Congratulations to Steve on the new job AND the new direction you're taking with your own work!
